Senior Care and Senior Needs October 2017

Silva Avedis, the founder of Senior Quest and a Certified Geriatric Social Worker, will be teaching a course about “Senior Care & Senior Needs” at the Emerson Community School.

Class Description: What is available for seniors needing care and what are your choices? Finding solutions when a current living situation is no longer viable, when a senior can no longer manage on his or her own. This is so difficult for the family and children of the elderly. Come to learn where you can reach out for help and what resources are available in the community. Topics will also include: staying at home with home care, housing options from senior independent living to nursing homes, the costs involved, and much more. Come to class if this is your current or future situation.
